Mitexi was bored. Plainly said. She had absolutely nothing to do whatsoever and the middle of Boston didn't seem like a great place to cause chaos and end up getting caught by the police. Not that she ever did, but she didn't feel like running from them. With her two best friends, her favorite lighter and a freshly bought Milky Way... well, freshly stolen really...in her pocket, she walked down the street to look for something to do. She covered her hands with her sweatshirt as to not get noticed that she had straped on flamethrowers around her hands and wrists as she walked past people and casually put them in her pockets afterward.

Janice had teleported to Boston for the day. Her aunt had taken her once a long time ago, and she had loved it. She was walking down the street when she spotted a girl walking down the street with her hands in her pockets. There was something oddly familiar about the girl that she couldn't quite place.

Mitexi had walked for awhile now, and decided to sit. Nothing better to do anyway. So, she found some statue of someone who did something in history a long time ago and had fun and also had left room on the little monument for, someone who didn't care, a place to sit. She jumped on the statue and sat down. Taking out her Milky Way, she unwrapped it and took a bite. What in the world would she do if Milky Ways didn't exsist. She felt drained of energy from the lack of caffeine she hadn't had today and needed some form of sugar. She noticed a girl walking down the sidewalk towards her general direction and gave a quick glance and looked away. She seemed to give her the look as if she knew her somehow. Well, must be a mistake, because Mitexi had no idea who she was.

Janice saw the flamethrowers on the girl's wrist as the girl began eating her candy bar and she suddenly knew why the girl looked so familiar. She looked a lot like Pyro. She didn't know if it was a good idea to talk to the girl, but she figured that she might as well, the girl already seemed to have spotted her looking at her.
She walked up to the girl. "Mind if I sit down?" she asked.

The same girl she had just saw a few seconds ago was now talking to her.
"Mind if I sit down?"
Well this is wierd...What does she want? Mitexi thought then realized she might not be a mutant. Covering her hands with her always worn sweatshirt, so she wouldn't see the straps, Mitexi answered, " Um, sure I guess." as she moved over to give some room. She didn't know why all of a sudden she acted nice. Probably from the lack of caffeine she had today, yeah, that was it.

"You don't have to hide those, you know," Janice said, gesturing to the girl's flamethrower covered hands as she was sitting down. "At least not from me."
She smiled. "You wouldn't happen to be related to John Allerdyce, would you?"

"You don't have to hide those, you know, at least not from me"
Realizing what she said probably meant one of two things: she was a mutant or she didn't care that Mitexi was one. Either way, she let her sleeves loose. Hiding things wasted time, so if she didn't have to, she wasn't going to.
"You wouldn't happen to be related to John Allerdyce, would you?"
Her eyes widened. That was weird, she'd never heard of that name before, yet she'd also never heard of someone with the same last name as herself. "Not that I know of, but it does seem weird to mention that to a stranger. Why do you ask?" she questioned. She wanted to know why she asked this before Mitexi was just going to give out her name.

"Well, you look a lot like him, and judging by those," Jancie said, indicating the flamethrowers, "you two have the same power. You might have heard of him, either way. He goes by Pyro."

Pyro...she'd never heard of him. Nice name though. Name... "Did you say his last name was ALLERdyce?" she asked now curious of this guy. she had never actually seen many mutants but figured none would have the same power as her.

"Yup. A-L-L-E-R-D-Y-C-E," Janice said, just to clarify.

"Yup. A-L-L-E-R-D-Y-C-E."
"Well, that's my last name..." she said hesitantly. This was really awkward for her. She didn't expect on an average day to have someone come up to her, start talking, not pick a fight, and then tell her that someone has the same looks, power and last name as her. Yep, today in history would officially be marked as a weird day for her.

"Interesting," Janice said. She regarded the girl carefully, noticing that she seemed uncomfortable.

Mitexi had now finished her Milky Way and tossed the wrapper. She took out her favorite *lighter, and flipped it on. Earlier the girl had said the she assumed they had the same power, so Mitexi asked, "Can he do this?" as she took the little flame the lighter had produced, enlarged it and moved it to her opposite hand. Then extinguished it to not attract too much attention.
*(which by the way looks like the zippo Pyro has, found as a child when Mitexi lived at "home". It was his second one he had lost a long time ago...)

"Yes, and he even has the same lighter, it turns out," Janice said with a slight smile.

"Okaay, this all fits and stuff, but how is it that he can possibly be related to me if I've never seen him in my life?" she paused, "Do you know him well?" She was thinking hard now about her past. It would explain how she found the lighter on the ground one day, and was the sweatshirt his too? She found that in the same general area of the house. Well this sucked. she thought. That's probably why she had to do things in her house that made no sense. Like being locked up for no reason. But...when she was in her early teens, all of the weird things stopped. And when she found the stuff. Hm....
